2012 AGM!
Lots of discussion but at the end of it all - nothing much has changed!  Same Committee, same classes - the move to abolish 1/24 Minis was defeated and racing will be much the same in 2013.
Phil H was our Champion this year and duly received his trophies from The Chairman...........

A reminder that the date of our AGM is fast approaching - Thursday 6th December!
Are you happy with things?  Any ideas to make our lot better?
Any items for discussion and inclusion on the formal Agenda should be sent, in writing, to The Secretary BEFORE Thursday 22nd November.
Among the usual formalities, we will be electing a new Committee for 2013........  2013, our 48th year!

I know there is a contact him button on his website, but I don't have Outlook set up and don't know how to set up Outlook and the site doesn't display his email address. Useful. If anyone knows, I thankee very much.

Roedale Club gains an MA in Fine Art!

Not many of our members seem to have taken much interest in the posting on our Facebook page of the result of our young visiting art students work for his MA degree....... so here's a link to it!

For his finals exhibition, it was displayed as a continuous loop and received rave reviews from his examiners and art critics alike!  Very strange what counts as fine art these days!

Roedale Southern 32 Round

Sadly, no pics but yet another really excellent day's racing on our track!

In the overall Production Class, no less than 3 home drivers in the 'A' Final with Phil H in superb form to take the win from Ian B, Dave Harvey (Timaru) and Vince.  Ben and his Falcon finished 7th overall, ahead of Robin and Keith.
In the Falcon 'Novice' Class, Ben had a convincing win from Robin with Keith 4th.

The Team Race didn't go our way though with the 'Mills and Boon' (!!) team of Dave Harvey and Tony Mills romping away to win ahead of the all Roedale team 'Impunity' (Ian B and Vince) and the 'official' 'Team Roedale' team of Phil H and Ben. Both Roedale teams had gear problems which certainly cost them places.

Roedale Area Round

Some really cracking racing at our BSCRA Area 8 Round on Sunday 8th January!

Things got off to a quick start with the Production 'warm-up' race as Lee Parsons trounced all the Super Prods to win with one of Mr BSP's Falcon Productions with a new track Falcon Production Record of 47.30 on White lane.

Brian Saunders himself then managed to win Saloon with his brand new BSP/Paulo Castriconi chassis, but our very own Ian Barker upheld the Club's honour by very convincingly taking both F1 and Sports.
Very notable that all our visitors have pretty much got the hang of our short circuit now - and no complaints were heard!

2012 Calendar!

While we wait for the new Calendar to get posted on the website (big hint to PM Esq.!), a reminder of January's racing to come.................

January 5th - Saloon
January 12th - Sports
January 19th - Super Production
January 26th - Open 1/24

Our 2012 Championship season begins on February 2nd with 1/32 Club Production ........... and don't forget the Area Round on Sunday 8th January!
